Girl With A Cloud

Local Melbourne jeweller and designer Jane Reilly has been creating for as long as she can remember. From mud pies at age 5, to her latest incarnation, accessories label Girl With A Cloud. Originally trained as a ceramicist, she craved a medium that yielded immediate results so that drew her to jewellery and silversmithing. The Girl With A Cloud range includes many found and recycled objects and materials creating a worn in yet refined aesthetic.

Already a Rose Street favourite, expect to see many more playful and bright things on the horizon!

Emerald Green Submarine

As an Interior Designer turned jewellery maker, Nicole of Emerald Green Submarine brings simplicity and playfulness to her Australian made designs. She is passionate about bringing the healing properties of colour to her customers in a contemporary framework. Nicole is stimulated by the power of colour and shades as a transformational device to enhance ones mood which combined with her passion for architectural model making, inspires her designs. She enjoys working with her hands in a miniature framework to create striking structural shapes and forms that maintain the soft touch of a handcrafted line.

As a spin off from her 2012 collection 'transformations', she is now working on a new range inspired by Crop Circles and UFO's - circles and elliptical forms combined with 925 sterling silver - simply and fun designs for everyone.

Nicole credits the market with giving her a direct relationship with her customers, where she gets to be part of the joy her designs bring. As well as nourishing her creatively, it gives her a regular income which allows her to continue doing what she loves!

What started out as a bit of fun quickly turned into a thriving homewares and accessories business for Juliet Carr, the energetic designer of label Pirdy. With a background in visual merchandising and retail management, Juliet completed a casting course a little over 5 years ago and today boasts an ever expanding product range all made by hand (including molds and pigments) so it's little wonder that her products consistently wow and excite an eager market crowd.

Inspired by nature, nostalgia and colour, expect to find gorgeous Humming Birds, bright Peacocks for your home and some very 80s inspired jewellery!

Juliet loves the market for giving her the opportunity to chat with customers, seeing their reaction to her work and just generally being inspired by the creativity around the space.

Shagpile

Shagpile

Meet Andria, the creative mind behind accessories business Shagpile. My current collection for Shagpile consists of a range of products from earrings and rings to necklaces and headbands. Each piece is constructed from snippets of vintage and unusual fabrics which are pressed into buttons. The designs range from bold geometrics to delicate vintage florals with something to suit all fashion tastes.

My favorite products at the moment are mini button rings, especially since I love brightening things up with a splash of colour using jewellery and accessories.

The Rose St. Artist's Market has been a fantastic way for me to reach my customers. People really appreciate being able to meet the person who has made the product and it is a great way for me to get direct feedback from my customers. This has allowed me to more easily improve and develop products. There is also a wealth of knowledge amongst the stall holders at Rose Street and I have found it to be a very supportive environment in which to grow my brand.
