Minniebubs
minniebubs is a Mother / daughter team from Victoria, Australia.
“My mother taught me to sew when I was young and when I then started high school I soon discovered that it was my favourite class.
When my children were young I would make all their clothes, even made my daughter’s wedding dress! Now that I have Grandchildren I love making cute things for them and my children friend’s babies.
My Mother in Law helped me start making patchwork quilts approximately 10 years ago and I have been hooked ever since.
I find sewing so relaxing, it really is my happy place”
Carol
“I learnt all sorts of crafts growing up from my Mum and Grandmothers like sewing, cross stitch and knitting. Throughout my school years I really enjoyed all the art subjects like textiles, photography and drama but after school I didn’t explore these interests any further until I became a Mum myself.
Minniebubs has been a fantastic way for me to explore my creativity and more importantly spend time with my own mum doing something together, we have a great time.”

The Slow Fashion Studio
The Slow Fashion Studio breaks the cycle of fast fashion by producing consciously created garments made to order. Our design philosophy is to produce well tailored pieces that will remain in your wardrobe for years to come.
My mum taught me to sew when I was 10 years old, my wardrobe has always consisted of ‘me made’ or ‘mum made’ garments. In 2017, I decided to completely step off the commercial, fast fashion conveyor belt and only wear clothes I had made for myself. People are always delighted when I answer questions about where I purchased a piece of clothing with ‘I made it’.
I know that not everyone has the skills or inclination to make their own clothes. The Slow Fashion Studio is my way of helping to create a sustainable fashion future - a made-to-order collection where, instead of carrying stock, each item is hand made according to what the customer orders. Limited edition pieces are created by selecting from local, dead stock and end of line fabrics.
All of our garments are designed and made in our Melbourne studio.

DeClare Denim
Introducing Declare Denim. We are an ethical, upcycled brand with an edge.
We sustainably create truly unique one-off pieces for fashion icons, because we believe you don't have to compromise your style to help the earth. Every one of us puts on a tough exterior to protect our hearts, and our jackets are no different. Our pieces are like armour - wearable art that showcases we're both tough and tender. Powerful and protective. Our reworked denim enhanced with embellishments embodies this duality.
What does it mean to upcycle garments? It means that we hand select high quality, preloved garments and reinvent them! We love nothing more than to create incredible fusions of the treasures we find, resulting in the sustainable and ethical statement pieces you will discover here.
It's a simple equation - we need to take care of our world so it can continue to support us and we can continue to look our best. Put candidly, fast fashion is an eco destroyer. But what can we do about it? We can invest in slow, ethical practises that close the loop in fashion. That's why we upcycle existing denim to create something that lasts. Because it's cool to have empathy, and that includes empathy for the world we live in.
Each of our designs is a genuine original, on average using up to 90% reclaimed materials. Each garment is named, numbered and then registered on our authenticity database paired with our customers names.
We use only the highest quality, primarily vegan materials. However on the rare occasion that we do select embellishments such as silk or feathers, they are reclaimed, so our respect for the earth doesn’t wane. Because we want our environmental impact to be small, but our social impact to be huge.
