Craft Workshops

The Virgin Australia Fashion Festival comes to the market on the 8th of March as we play host to ‘Crafted’, a day of fashion workshops where you get to be the maker! Giving you the opportunity to unleash your inner creativity, there will be different 1 hour workshops throughout the day from learning macrame to making your own terrariums. Most materials are included in the workshops, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm.

The workshops are:
11am – Macrame with Blossom and Cat. Grab your rope and start looping for a great macrame plant hanger. Workshop includes rope and 1 hour tutorial – $15.

12pm – Crochet with Tee Yarn. Get the lowdown on making your own crochet basket. These baskets are oh-so-hot right now and you’ll get 1 hour to hone your skills and take home a pattern, wooden hook, the yarn, pin marker, tapestry needle and tote bag – $30.

1pm – Terrarium making with Plant by Packwood. Who wouldn’t want to create their own ecosystem in a glass jar!? The plant master Charlotte will run through layering, scaping and caring for your creation. Plants and soil provided, BYO jar – $45

2pm – DIY Lampshade with Lovely Lady Lamps. Make your own drum lamp shade using fabric of your choice and the absolute best construction boot. The shades look great with vintage or modern lamp bases. Included in the workshop is lampshade styrene, wire ring with washer fitting, brush and moulding stick – $35.
